Ake Sahu beach (Ake Sahu means hot water) is a must-visit attraction in Tidore, North Maluku province. This place is located not far from Port Rum which is the main port in Tidore, which takes about 30 minutes by car.
This beach is unique because it has hot spring with freshwater on the seashore. Tourists can soak in the hot spring while enjoying the beauty of the sea. People in Tidore believe if they soak in the hot spring and tie a plastic bag in the tree that grows beside the hot spring, it will cure their diseases, especially skin diseases.
In addition, you can also swim and play on the beach. If you feel tired then you can rest in the gazebos available. It is better to come a bit late in the afternoon so the weather is not too hot. However, to get a beautiful ocean view, the right time to visit this place is when the sun is at its peak.
