In Pasar Higienis Bahari Berkesan, you can buy skipjack tuna, roa fish, Ternate fish paste, walnuts and assorted fresh spices widely available in this market.
While in Ternate typical souvenir and culinary shops, you can buy Bagea (kind of walnut cookies), Halua Kenari (walnut nougat), candied nutmeg, nutmeg syrup and passion fruit syrup, skipjack tuna floss, etc. Besides, tourists often buy gemstones known as batu akik (Bacan stones and Obi stones are most preferred stones), that you can easily find in the city of Ternate.
