Fort Tore and Tahulu is one of the attractions that you must visit in Tidore. Both of these forts are adjacent and located near Soasio City, Tidore, North Maluku province.
The location of Fort Tore and Tahulu is quite high. In this place, you can clearly see the beauty of the sea that separates Tidore Island and Halmahera Island. You can also see Soasio City which was built by Spanish sailors "Sebastiano De Elaco" during colonial times in the past century and becomes the Capital City of Tidore at this time. These forts is quite difficult to reach and you have to expend your energy to climb the stairs to these forts. However, all your hard work will pay off when you arrive at these forts because of its beauty. The location is also very suitable to see the sunrise in the morning.
Fort Tahula is already in poor condition. Meanwhile, in Fort Tore you still can find the remnants of the fort, which is currently under renovation. When exactly the year of the construction of these forts is unknown . A few centuries ago, these forts became a strategic place to monitor the movement of their enemies who try to attack the Portuguese headquarter.
