Loloda region consists of North Loloda and South Loloda. While South Loloda belongs to West Halmahera regency, North Loloda is included in North Halmahera, North Maluku province. North Loloda is located on the west coast of the north peninsula of Halmahera, starting from Igo Village on the north and ending in Apulea Village on the south.
Loloda Tribe commonly lives in groups by forming small villages along the coast. Loloda language is used by the local community, and has similarity to Galela language.
Existing public facilities are very limited. Unavailability of overland access makes North Loloda can only be reached by sea. Electricity is only available in several villages and only turns on for a few hours at night.
The specialty of North Loloda lies on a number of large and small islands it has. Here you can find beaches with amazing length. For diving enthusiasts, Tobotobo and Doi marine parks are the main reason you must visit North Loloda.

1. Dorume Beach

This is due to the sand in Dorume containing ores. In addition, the forests behind Dorume Village is still natural that a variety of typical birds of Halmahera can be found there. Exploring other villages along the coast of North Loloda can also be a fun adventure.

2. Tobotobo Marine Park
Tobotobo Marine Park in located in Tobotobo Village which is one of islands in North Loloda. This place has a very beautiful marine park so it is advisable for snorkeling or diving there.In Tobotobo Island, there are thousands of bats live on mangrove trees, as well as a bathing place of white and blue doves. To get to Tobotobo Island, you can rent a speedboat in Dorume, the trip is only about 15 minutes. Doi Island is the northernmost part of North Loloda. The beauty served by Doi Marine Park was incredible. To Doi Island, you can go by speedboat which can be rented in Tobelo Harbour with about 6 hours of journey. However, all the fatigue is certainly paid off by the beauty of this place.

Posiposi beach is one of the best white sandy beach in North Halmahera. Its isolated location does not make this beach loses its charm. Soft sand, a stretch of palm trees that grow tall in almost 3 km along the coast and the crystal-clear sea water are the main reasons to visit this beach. Posiposi beach is actually located on Halmahera Island, but there is no overland access to this site. So if you want to visit to this place, you can use speedboat from Dorume or from Tobelo harbor with the long journey of about 4 hours.
5. Dagasuli Island
Dagasuli Island is located between Tuakara Island and Tobo-tobo Island. This island has a beautiful fine-white-sand beach. The access to this island is very limited, so the best option is renting a speedboad, but with a high cost.

Accommodation & Restaurants
There is no accommodation and restaurant in North Loloda. So if you want to stay, the only option is local residents. They will also serve foods for you. The locals here are humble and very welcome to every visitor.
