In North Halmahera regency, North Maluku Province, you can be find various attractions. Panorama of white sandy beaches, sea garden, a stretch of islands, biodiversity and many other unexplored natural beauties. The capital of North Halmahera is Tobelo.

Kao region is a zone of World War II nostalgia which is a strategic area at that time. Some artifacts remnants of World War II, such as artillery shells, wreck of warship, amphibious vehicles, runways and bunkers can still be found in this region.

Information Center for Travelers

If you come to North Halmahera for the first time, of course, you need detailed information about travel in North Halmahera. Such information can be found in Tourism and Culture Department at North Halmahera Regent Office, 2nd floor. Normally the office is open from Monday to Friday, between 08:00 to 16:00.

Transportation to North Halmahera 
If you come from outside of North Maluku province, you can use air transport. In North Halmahera, there are available two small airports which is in Kao and Galela. Direct flights heading to the airports, is currently available only from Manado and Ternate. Other than that, you have to transit first. Once you arrive in North Halmahera, you will easily find car rental.
