Legu Gam Festival is folk festive in North Maluku that is held annually. This event aims to celebrate Sultan of Ternate’s birthday where people from all over the islands will gather in the Sultanate of Ternate. The implementation of Legu Gam Festival is an attempt to preserve the culture and customs in North Maluku.
Legu Gam festival is celebrated with a variety of cultural activities such as carnivals, fairs, and national seminars. There will also be an expo to promote potential tourism and investment of the region. This festival will introduce to the investors about the potential of fisheries, crop processing industry, trade and services, and also transportation. The local craftsmen will certainly take part to promote their products to visitors.
