Derbi Beach (Dermaga Biru / Blue Pier) - Attractions in BACAN ISLAND - South Halmahera

As the name implies, Dermaga Biru (Blue Pier) is dominated by blue paint. Blue Pier lies on Derbi Beach. There are restaurant and cottages in this small beach. Its tranquil water is safe for children to play. It is also suitable for snorkeling as well as the sea water here is clear. From this beach, you will see the island of Halmahera from afar. Derbi beach is one of attractions in Bacan Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku province.

A house on stilts on Derbi beach is also a relaxing place to sit and eat typical Halmahera snacks while enjoying the natural beauty. Derbi beach (Dermaga Biru) is located in the Eastern Sub-district of Bacan. If you depart from Labuha City to this place, it takes about 30 minutes. Derbi beach is often visited by local residents during holidays because of its good access and well maintained.

Additionally, there is also Dermaga Merah (Red Pier) which often called as Sibela Beach. Dermaga Merah are parallel to the shoreline of Dermaga Biru, the location of both piers and beaches are very close. As the name implies, Red Pier is dominated with red paint.
